"Not just advice, but genuine companionship. You will feel the difference."

Your situation
«Too many open fronts. Not enough overview. And nobody to hold the strategic picture together.»

Growth, succession, new regulations, AI pressure: SME leadership teams today make decisions that used to belong to a dedicated IT department — without that department. External consultants deliver reports. Integrators build isolated solutions. But who ensures everything aligns with your goals and holds together?

  • The IT landscape has grown — but nobody knows exactly what still holds up.
  • New requirements (ISO 27001, GDPR, EU AI Act) cost time you don't have.
  • A leadership position is vacant or you are carrying several roles at once.
  • AI is changing everything — but what does it mean concretely for your organisation?

This is exactly where we come in.

We accompany SME leadership teams as experienced travel companions: not a permanent hire, not a one-off consultant, but someone who thinks alongside you, shares in decisions and keeps the overview. Architecture, AI and governance from one source, backed by a curated partner network. In digestible steps, so day-to-day business does not suffer.

How we work

Three phases, one goal: lasting change

We guide your organisation through three clearly defined phases: from an honest status assessment to standing on your own.

The three phases of transformation: Caterpillar, Metamorphosis, Butterfly
If you do digital transformation right, the caterpillar becomes a butterfly. If you don't, you'll end up with just a faster caterpillar.
George Westerman

Caterpillar: Where do you stand?

We begin with an unvarnished stocktake: processes, data, systems, culture and leadership. Where does untapped potential lie? Where does complexity slow you down? This phase delivers clarity, before we act.

Metamorphosis: Build the foundation

Analysis leads to measures your team can own. Workshops, short iterations, quick prototypes: always with your people, never over their heads.

Butterfly: Scale & stand on your own

Transformation is not a project with an end date. It is a new operating mode. We accompany your organisation until it operates confidently and independently. No dependency, no patchwork: everything we build together belongs to you. Where specialist know-how is needed, we source it from our curated partner network.

Frequently asked questions

What sets us apart from traditional consulting

What is Orange Butterfly?

Orange Butterfly is our transformation offering. Under this brand name, we bring together everything that helps SME leadership teams shape digitalisation, AI and change in a structured, empathetic and sustainable way, along three pillars: people, technology and governance.

Who is Orange Butterfly for?

For leadership teams and digital/IT decision-makers in Swiss SMEs who want to safeguard architecture decisions without building their own department, especially during growth, succession, reorganisation or a vacant leadership position. In our experience, the strongest mandates start with a concrete single question that quickly turns out to be part of a larger systemic challenge.

Isn't this a size too big for a 50-person company?

No — the format is built precisely for that. We work in small, digestible steps instead of mammoth projects: a one-page decision paper instead of an 80-page report, an action plan instead of a binder full of manuals. Your company stays as agile as it is — architecture and governance are tailored to your size, not to corporate scale. And you stay in control: after each step, you decide whether to continue, pause or shift focus.

What sets Orange Butterfly apart from traditional IT consultants?

Three things: first, the Think-First approach: we don't buy technology before we've understood the need. Second, a curated partner network: everything we develop together belongs to you — where specialist know-how is needed, we source it transparently. Third, the travel-companion mindset: we don't deliver reports, we work directly with you. Practice over theory, partnership over transaction.

How quickly do we see first results?

That depends on phase and format. A Leadership TRaiL delivers an actionable priority plan by the end of day one. An AI potential analysis workshop provides three prioritised levers within half a day. An architecture workshop delivers a clear situational assessment of your IT landscape with prioritised recommendations on the day itself. In ongoing travel companionship, the first measurable artefacts emerge within the first month: decision papers, governance drafts or architecture sketches.

Do you work with external partners?

Yes, deliberately and transparently. We work with a deliberately small network of tested partners: Vanta for automated GRC, navique for data & AI, ieffects for software development and others. We only recommend what we have tested ourselves and where we have no hidden conflicts of interest.

Where do you operate?

Our core market is Switzerland, based in Montlingen (Canton St. Gallen). Southern Germany has been actively served since June 2026 through Thomas Schick (IHK AI Manager). Additionally: Vorarlberg & Tyrol. Remote mandates are possible Switzerland-wide and across borders.

People stay at the centretechnology enables what empowers humans.

Ready for your next step?

An open conversation costs nothing and often brings more clarity than six months of research.
